Every day in our Village, we meet the parents of the children who attend our Children’s Centre and marvel at the burdens they have to carry.
For those who have experienced trauma or difficult childhoods and are now trying to parent, it’s a difficult task.
They try so hard to ‘unlearn’ the impulses and behaviours of their own hurt pasts and get so much joy from learning new songs, new games and new ways of being together.
It is a privilege to watch as hope grows and they find themselves a little more resilient every day.
It’s like watching a miracle unfold as these wounded souls start to see that it's possible to heal and move forward in new ways.
